Apple-Celery Stuffing

Products Used: Kellogg's Corn Flakes* Cereal

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Butter
  • 2 1/2 cups Finely chopped, peeled apples
  • 1/2 cup Finely chopped onions
  • 1 cup Finely chopped celery
  • 4 tsp Poultry seasoning
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Fresh ground pepper
  • 6 cups crushed Kellogg’s Corn Flakes*cereal
  • 4 3/4 cups Dry bread cubes
  • 1 cup Tomato juice or chicken broth
  • 5 Egg whites

Directions

1. In saucepan, melt butter.
2. Add apples, onions and celery; cook until softened, stirring occasionally.
3. Stir in seasoning, salt and pepper; set aside.
4. In large bowl, combine cereal, bread cubes and tomato juice.
5. Beat egg whites until stiff peaks form.
6. Fold into cereal mixture together with onion mixture until well combined.
7. Scrape into large baking dish; cover and bake in 350° F oven about 30 minutes or until hot in centre.
